April 5th

Some things we did this week:

• Slowed down to focus on handwriting
• Continued writing reviews
• Went to see Henry and Mudge at the Portsmouth Music Hall
• Began reading Junie B. Jones
• Learned about if fish sleep
• Continued working on double digit addition 
• Played Social Detective Jeopardy
• Learned about how characters change over time
• Learned about American symbols 
• STEAM with the Koalas 

Some things to ask your child:

• How many stars would you give the play?
• What letters do you need more practice writing?
• Do fish sleep?
• What is an American symbol? 

Important dates: 

• EARLY RELEASE DAY April 11th 
• Mad Scientist visits First Grade on April 12th
• Stratham Hill Park Day June 13th families are invited to join us as we celebrate the end of first grade! More details to come.
