November 30th

In lieu of teacher gifts please consider donating to The Georgie Badiel Foundation.  The book The Water Princess is inspired by Georgie and reveals the clean water crisis in Burkina Faso. The Loons worked closely with Georgie last year and in January as a class we will also be helping this cause. We will share more information after the holidays. Thank you! :) Lindsay

December 4 at 6:30pm: Fireside Chat #2: Judy Eitler will be hosting a viewing of Lynn Lyons's video, "DECREASING ANXIETY: HOW TO TALK TO YOUR ANXIOUS CHILD". This 45-minute video "consultation" provides the language parents need to both help your anxious child and interrupt your worried parenting habits. Lynn Lyons highlights the common mistakes that feel "right" and loving and act as a short term fix, but actually make the problem of anxiety worse over time. In keeping with her concrete and accessible approach, Lynn Lyons uses drawings, metaphors and memorable words to immediately help you find your way out of the worry trap. Judy will followup the viewing with a Q and A session.
