Dear Families,

We are very excited about our musical, “Friendly Neighborhood Helpers” and the big performance on Tuesday, May 8th at 6:30 pm. Today we begin practicing on the stage!
In preparation for this event, we could use your help. Each child will need a costume for the role they are playing. These costumes need to be simple and are best if designed by your child’s imagination. Here is a list of some possible ideas for costumes. We have some costumes at school so please reach out me if you need some help.

STORYTELLER: Wear your finest clothes!

CROSSING GUARDS: A bright orange vest, a hand-held stop sign, and a whistle hanging around their necks.

MAIL CARRIERS: Light Blue Button Down Shirt, Navy Blue Pants (We will take care of mail carrier bag and hats at school),

FIREFIGHTERS: Yellow or red raincoats and boots would be close enough, fire fighter hat

PLUMBERS: Could wear overalls with some small tools attached, unused plunger

CHEFS: Chef hats might be great but only if they fit correctly. (If they are too big they will just keep falling in the actors’ faces.) White clothing makes the best sense.

DENTISTS: White lab coat, scrubs, stethoscope, surgery cap, gloves

GROCERS: An apron would be perfect. Perhaps some foods made out of paper and taped onto the apron for color and variety. (We will take care of grocer hats at school)

LIBRARIAN: glasses, favorite book, dress

VETERINARIAN: White lab coat, scrubs, stethoscope, small stuffed animal (beanie baby size)

RECYLER: White t-shirt, jeans (we will take care of recycle signs at school)

GARBAGE TRUCK FANS: Baseball caps and jeans (we will take care of the t-shirts in school)

Costumes need to be at school NO LATER than Friday, May 4, 2018. (Please label all costumes and props with your child’s name.) Thank you for your support. See you at the SHOW!

Thank you so much for your support!
