The Night Before First Grade

WELCOME

Welcome to the Loon blog and thank you to those who have already subscribed! It looks like there was a problem with the recent email containing the worksheet for your loon to write about their summer. Feel free to just use a piece of plain paper for them to draw a picture and write a sentence about something they did this summer. I'm looking forward to meeting you all in just a couple weeks!

First of all, thank you all for the generous gift card and beautiful book, it brought tears to my eyes seeing the thoughtful (and humorous) responses! More importantly though, I want to thank each of you for sharing your child with me. I know how much your little loon mean to you and it was an honor and a joy teaching each of them. Have a great summer!

Dear Families,

Due to the possibility of rain/thunderstorms tomorrow morning we will not be going to Stratham Hill Park. Instead, we will have our Ultimate Treasure Hunt here at school in the front at 9:00a.m. so we can be closer to the school. We will have this rain or shine and as it will be cooler tomorrow please have your child dress accordingly. ( raincoat and rain boots). An extra change of clothes might be a good idea. If you are still able to chaperone, that would be great. The Kona Ice truck will still come as a special treat. We will go to our Encore at 10:50.

Tomorrow is field day please wear appropriate shoes and clothes, pack a complete change of clothes, a towel would be wise, labeled water bottle with name and 1R, sunblock should be applied at home. It will be a beautiful and fun-filled day!

LAST MINUTE WALKING FIELD TRIP!
We have decided to do a nature walk to Stratham Hill Park with our buddies on Monday. I have sent home a permission slip today. Please sign it and return it ASAP so we can all go together! No money or chaperones are needed, just the signature. THANK YOU!
